Drowning in Sunlight

from I Don't Know What I'm Doing by Honey Creek

/

lyrics

I’ve had a sub for lunch every day this week. I wonder how many more I can take before it kills me.

One honey latte this morning just like every day this week, and only nine more to go before I get one for free.
Yeah that’s me, looking forward to those little things, and if I don’t expect much I’ll count a hundred little victories. I need these little victories.

I’ve been crossing my fingers, hoping for better weather.
But I can’t help but feel the cracks and the leaves, walking home under two layers of long sleeves, keep heading down the same old street.

So redundant, the days just blend together while I’m still stuck in my room contemplating what I’m doing.
My car won’t work for shit, can’t find a place I fit, so I sit on my ass because it helps me forget.

I’ve had a sub for lunch every day this week.
